The Manchester Ancient Egypt Society (MAES) is a monthly meeting place for people with an interest in Egyptology. Membership is open to anyone, whether student, academic or enthusiast. All we ask is that you have an interest in the civilisation and times of ancient Egypt. Membership and charges We try to keep our membership fees as low as possible and annual membership runs from September to August. Membership Costs have not increased for 2008-09 As a member you get a reduced entrance charge to our lectures and you will receive a year's editions of our newsletter which we publish to members six times a year. This contains articles by members, notes and news of egyptological interest, and information of forthcoming events, exhibitions, books and much more.

Membership categories are:

Ordinary Members £17.50 per year plus a entrance cost of £3.00 per meeting

Joint Membership costs £30.00 (Two people living at the same address)

Junior Membership which costs £8.00 per year. This applies if you are still at full-time education and under 18.

Associate Membership £10.00 For those who live too far away to come to meetings. Associate members are entitled to receive our newsletters, but still pay the low charge of £3.00 entrance fee to attend our meetings.

Please note that all payments must be paid in Pounds Sterling as we unfortunately cannot accept payments in foreign currencies or payments by credit cards.
